Last updated October 20, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website studioversedesign.com and any related pages, forms, booking links, advertising and communications (together, the "Services") operated by Studioverse LLC ("Studioverse," "we," "us," or "our"), a New Jersey limited liability company located at 558 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ 07508.

By accessing the Services, requesting a quote, booking a consultation, or engaging us for a project, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy. For any project you hire us for, a separate written Project Agreement will be provided. If anything in these Terms conflicts with a signed Project Agreement, the Project Agreement controls for that project.

1. Who We Are And What We Do

In Short: We design, build and install custom media walls, closets, kitchens and other custom millwork for homeowners and trade clients in New Jersey and nearby areas.

Studioverse designs, fabricates and installs custom built-ins. The Services provide information about our work, allow you to request a quote or price range, and allow you to book a consultation. Nothing on the Services is a binding offer to perform work; work is performed only under a signed Project Agreement.

2. Eligibility And Use Of The Services

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services, request a quote or book a consultation. By using the Services you represent that you are at least 18 and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You agree not to use the Services for any unlawful purpose; to submit false, misleading or fraudulent information; to interfere with the operation or security of the Services; or to copy, scrape, reproduce or redistribute any part of the Services without our written permission.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Services at any time for any reason, including suspected misuse.

3. Quotes And Price Ranges

In Short: Price ranges given online, by phone or by text are estimates. A firm price is only given in a written Project Agreement.

Any price range provided before an in-home consultation, whether through our website, an ad, a phone call, an email or a text message, is a preliminary estimate based on the information and photos you share. It is not a binding quote. Actual pricing depends on measurements, site conditions, materials, finishes, lighting, electrical and other details confirmed during the consultation.

A written quote is valid for the period stated on the quote. Material prices and availability may change after that period.

4. In-Home Design Consultations

In Short: Consultations are scheduled appointments at your home. A consultation fee may apply and, if so, it is credited toward your project.

In-home design consultations typically last 60 minutes to 2 hours. During the visit we take measurements, review or develop design concepts, present material samples and discuss pricing.

Where a consultation fee applies, you will be told the amount before you book. The consultation fee is credited toward your project if you sign a Project Agreement with us.

Please make sure the wall or space is accessible and that anyone who shares the decision is present. We may need to reschedule if the space cannot be measured or if the person authorized to make decisions is not available.

5. Project Agreement, Deposits And Payment

In Short: Work begins after you sign a Project Agreement and pay the initial deposit. The balance is due on completion of installation.

To move forward with a project, you will sign a written Project Agreement that sets out the scope of work, materials, finishes, price, payment schedule and estimated timeline. Unless the Project Agreement states otherwise:

  • An initial deposit of 60% of the project price is due at signing. Design work, material ordering and fabrication begin after the deposit is received.
  • The remaining 40% balance is due upon completion of installation.
  • Any approved changes to the scope will be priced and documented in writing and are due as stated in the change order.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors. If a payment is not made when due, we may pause further work until it is received.

6. Design Approval And Renderings

In Short: You approve the final design before we build. Once approved, the design is final.

After the Project Agreement is signed and the deposit is received, we prepare detailed renderings of your design. You are responsible for reviewing the renderings carefully, including dimensions, layout, materials, finishes, lighting and placement of outlets, TVs and fireplaces, and for confirming your approval in writing.

Fabrication begins only after your written approval. Changes requested after approval may not be possible, and where they are possible they may result in additional charges and a longer timeline. Renderings are a visual guide; colors, grain and finish may vary slightly from screen to physical product due to natural material variation and screen settings.

7. Scheduling, Fabrication And Installation

In Short: Timelines are estimates. We will keep you updated and do our best to meet them.

Projects are built in our workshop after design approval and then installed in your home. The estimated build and installation timeline is stated in your Project Agreement. All timelines are estimates and may be affected by material availability, weather, site conditions, permit requirements, delays in your approvals or payments, and events outside our control.

We will coordinate an installation date with you. If you need to change an installation date, please let us know as early as possible so we can reschedule.

8. Your Responsibilities As A Homeowner

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your home and the installation area, including any known issues with walls, wiring, plumbing, HVAC or structure.
  • Clear the installation area of furniture, electronics, wall decor and personal items before our team arrives, and ensure a clear path from the entrance to the work area.
  • Obtain any permission required from a landlord, condominium or homeowners' association before work begins.
  • Disclose anything concealed within or behind the wall that you are aware of, such as wiring, pipes, ducts or gas lines.
  • Arrange for any electrical, plumbing, gas or other licensed trade work that is not included in your Project Agreement.
  • Be present, or have an authorized adult present, during installation.

Studioverse is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or damage caused by conditions that were not disclosed to us. If unexpected conditions are discovered during installation, we will stop, notify you, and discuss options and any additional cost before proceeding.

9. Changes, Cancellations And Refunds

In Short: You can reschedule or cancel a consultation by contacting us. Once custom work has started, cancellation costs apply.

Consultations

You may reschedule or cancel a consultation using the links in your confirmation email or by contacting us. Please give us as much notice as you can so the time can be offered to someone else. If a consultation fee was paid, how it is handled on cancellation will be explained to you when you book.

Projects

New Jersey law gives you the right to cancel a home improvement contract within three business days of signing, by written notice to us. If you cancel within this period, any payment made will be refunded in full.

After the three-day period, your project is custom-made and cannot be resold. If you cancel after design work or material ordering has begun, we will retain from your deposit the costs incurred to date, including design time, materials ordered and fabrication performed, and refund any remainder. If you cancel after fabrication is complete, the full project price may be due.

We may cancel a Project Agreement if you fail to make a required payment, fail to provide required approvals or access, or if we are unable to perform the work safely or lawfully. In that case we will refund any amounts paid in excess of the costs we have incurred.

10. Warranty And Workmanship

In Short: Any warranty on our work is set out in your Project Agreement.

Any warranty on our work, including its length, scope and how to make a claim, is set out in your Project Agreement. No warranty is given through this website or these Terms. Unless your Project Agreement states otherwise, the following are not covered:

  • Normal wear and tear, fading, or natural variation and movement in wood and other materials.
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, moisture, heat, improper cleaning, settling of the home, or alterations made by anyone other than Studioverse.
  • Third-party products such as TVs, fireplaces, lighting, electronics and appliances, which are covered by their manufacturers' warranties.
  • Work performed by other contractors or trades.

If you have a concern about completed work, contact us at [email protected] with photos and a description of the issue.

11. Photos, Testimonials And Intellectual Property

All content on the Services, including text, photos, videos, renderings, designs, logos and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to Studioverse and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or use it without our written permission.

Designs and renderings we create for your project remain our intellectual property. You receive the finished work and the right to use the renderings for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not provide our designs or renderings to another contractor to build.

With your permission, we may photograph and film your completed project and use the images, along with your first name and town, in our portfolio, website, social media and advertising. We do not publish your address. You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using the material in new content going forward.

By sending us photos of your space or inspiration images, you confirm you have the right to share them and you grant us permission to use them to prepare your quote and design.

12. Communications, Email And Text Messaging

When you submit a form, request a quote or book a consultation, you agree that we may contact you by phone, email and, if you have opted in, text message about your inquiry, your appointment and your project.

Text messages are sent only with your consent. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. See our Privacy Policy for details.

13. Disclaimers And Limitation Of Liability

In Short: The website is provided "as is." Our liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid for it.

The Services and all information on them are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any information, price range or timeline on the Services is accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studioverse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of value, or inconvenience, arising from your use of the Services or from any project, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from a project, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the amount you actually paid us under the relevant Project Agreement. Our total liability for any claim arising from the website or other Services, not connected to a project, is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).

Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under New Jersey consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Studioverse and its owners, employees and contractors from any claims, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, information you provide to us that is inaccurate or incomplete, or conditions at your property that you failed to disclose.

15. Governing Law And Disputes

These Terms and any Project Agreement are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Passaic County, New Jersey, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing a claim in small claims court where eligible.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed Project Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Studioverse regarding the Services.

16. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page and is effective as soon as it is posted. Changes do not affect a Project Agreement signed before the change. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
